Nigerian Afrobeats superstar, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has revealed that he is currently building a mansion for himself and his wife, chef Chioma, at the highbrow Eko Atlantic city, Lagos. The music star disclosed this while appearing on the latest episode of Drink Champs podcast co-hosted by N.O.R.E and DJ EFN.
The Good Life
Davido is living the high life and he wants everyone to know it. In a recent interview on a popular podcast, Davido disclosed that he is currently building a mansion for himself and his wife, chef Chioma, in the swanky Eko Atlantic city located in Lagos, Nigeria. Home to exclusive luxury condos and high-rise buildings, Eko Atlantic has become the go-to destination for high net worth individuals seeking exclusivity and sophistication.
Davido, who is known for his love of the good life, shared that he was drawn to the real estate industry because of its profitability, stating that if he wasn’t in the music industry, he would definitely be investing in real estate. Speaking on the lucrative nature of the industry, Davido urged his fans and listeners to consider investing in real estate because of its high yield on investment.
A Dream Home
Sharing more details about his new property, Davido revealed that his new home was located on the beachfront of the Eko Atlantic city, which he described as “quiet dope”. The beachfront property would be his dream home, he said, adding that the Eko Atlantic city was home to some of the most beautiful infrastructures in Lagos.
- “Real estate right now, I will say in Lagos. People have really been building some new dope infrastructures. Yeah, a very good investment, I’m telling you.
- “You can buy a place for like $1.5 million…But you sell it for like $4 million. I will tell you, it is a very good investment. My new house I’m building now, for me and my wife, is by the beach; it’s at Eko Atlantic [city]. It’s quiet dope. A lot of good buildings. Amazing.”
The news of Davido’s new mansion comes just weeks after his Banana Island mansion was put up for sale following the tragic death of his son, Ifeanyi Adeleke. Despite the unfortunate incident, Davido has chosen to look ahead and focus on the good life, building his dream home and urging his fans to invest in real estate.
