Enugu Government Shuts Down Shops Defying IPOB Sit-At-Home Directive

The Enugu State Government takes action against shops in major markets that refused to open during the sit-at-home order of IPOB

The Enugu State Government has taken a decisive step in dealing with shops that defied the sit-at-home order of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) by sealing them. This action follows Governor Peter Mbah’s warning to businesses last week to open up or face closure.

The Enugu State Capital Territory Development Authority, led by the Secretary to the State Government, Chidiebere Onyia, carried out the operation. The objective was to demonstrate the seriousness of the government and show support for those businesses that complied with the government’s directives.
