Troops Rescue Abducted Victims in Zamfara Forest
Troops of Operation Hadarin Daji have once again, demonstrated their commitment to combating banditry and terrorism in Northern Nigeria as they rescued ten kidnapped victims in Zamfara State.
The rescue operation, which took place at Tsafe Local Government Area of the state, was executed with precision and excellence while the troops were on their search and rescue mission. The troops, well-equipped with sophisticated weapons and intelligence, were able to take the criminals by surprise.
“The victims were abandoned by bandits when they noticed Nigerian Army troops approaching their hideouts,”
It was revealed that the victims, who were working on their farmlands on June 6, were abducted by the terrorists and had been in their captivity since then. However, the bandits fled and abandoned the victims when they heard that the troops were closing in on them.
After the rescue operation, the freed victims were taken to the General Hospital in Tsafe for treatment, and it was great news to hear that all ten were in stable condition. The victims were later reunited with their families who were filled with so much gratitude for the safe return of their loved ones.
This is yet another success story for Africa’s most vibrant army, the Nigerian Army. This achievement is a clear indication that with dedication, synergy, and proper resources, the Nigerian Army can successfully combat the insecurity challenges confronting the country.
