A 24-hour curfew has been imposed in the Mangu Local Government Area (LGA) of Plateau State, following a terrorist attack on four communities in the area. The terrorists invaded Bwai, then moved to Mangu town and Sabon Gari, burning houses and killing residents indiscriminately. Though the exact number of casualties remains uncertain, it’s a tragic and distressing time for the local people, who have been subjected to these horrific acts of violence.
Local Government takes Protective Measures
In response, the LGA’s Interim Management Committee Chairman, Markus Artu, declared the 24-hour curfew and implemented vehicle and motorcycle movement bans. He emphasized that only security personnel and essential workers will be allowed to move.Call-to-action
It is to be hoped that these protective measures will help to bring some calm and restore peace to the distressed residents of Plateau State.
