Shocking Connection Found: Lisa Marie Presley’s Tragic Demise Tied to Weight Loss Surgery

The Tragic Death of Lisa Marie Presley: A Bowel Obstruction from Weight Loss Surgery

The world mourned the loss of Lisa Marie Presley, daughter of the iconic Elvis Presley, earlier this year. The 54-year-old singer-songwriter’s passing shocked fans and now, medical examiners have revealed the cause of her untimely demise.

“A small bowel obstruction caused by scar tissue that developed after a previous bariatric surgery years ago.”

Presley’s death was deemed a natural occurrence as a result of complications from weight loss surgery, specifically a stomach-shrinking bypass procedure. The County of Los Angeles Department of Medical Examiner made the announcement in a statement.

Presley was found unresponsive in her Calabasas home by her ex-husband, Danny Keough, on January 12. Despite his efforts to revive her, she was pronounced dead later that day. Paramedics placed her in an induced coma on life support at the hospital, but tragically, she didn’t recover.

Lisa Marie Presley had a tumultuous life, navigating the shadow of her famous father while experiencing her own personal struggles. In addition to Danny Keough, whom she divorced in 1994, she had been married to Nicolas Cage, Michael Jackson, and actor-composer Michael Lockwood.

The heiress to the Presley empire, Lisa Marie previously controlled Elvis Presley Enterprises. However, in 2005, she sold the majority of shares to a private equity firm, though she retained ownership of Graceland, her father’s beloved estate.

In a sad turn of events, Lisa Marie’s mother, Priscilla Presley, was recently involved in a legal dispute over an amendment that removed her from her daughter’s will. However, they reached a settlement in May.

Although Lisa Marie Presley’s life was marked by tragedies, she leaves behind her daughter, Riley Keough, who made a name for herself in movies like “Mad Max: Fury Road.” She is also survived by her teenage twin daughters, Harper and Finley. However, her son Benjamin Keough tragically took his own life in 2020.
