The Chairman of the Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, and American billionaire, Bill Gates on Monday paid a visit to President Bola Tinubu at the Aso Rock Villa in Abuja.
The Aso Rock Villa received a special trio yesterday in the persons of Aliko Dangote, Bill Gates and President Bola Tinubu. The two business moguls, Aliko Dangote and Bill Gates, were the special guests of President Bola Tinubu as they paid him a visit in the heart of Nigeria’s political capital, Abuja.
Recall that INFORMATION NIGERIA earlier reported that Dangote, last week disclosed to the media that he and Microsoft co-founder, Bill Gates, are scheduled to meet President Bola Tinubu at the State House, Abuja, on Monday.
Last week, the press had reported that Aliko Dangote had already made known his plans to meet with President Bola Tinubu alongside Bill Gates on Monday. It is, therefore, a little bit of a surprise that the meeting took place behind closed doors.
He made the revelation after a closed-door meeting with the President at the Aso Rock Presidential villa on Friday.
It should be noted that Aliko Dangote had revealed plans to meet President Bola Tinubu after his private meeting with the President on Friday.
Dangote, while addressing State House correspondents, said that: “I did not come to do much. I only came to inform the President about our visit with Microsoft co-founder and my friend Bill Gates. We will both see the President on Monday when we come together.”

The visit is part of the Gates Foundation’s commitment to working closely with communities and leaders to support innovation.
The foundation established by Bill Gates has a deep commitment to innovation as well as supporting communities and leaders in Nigeria. Therefore, the visit of these two business heavyweights to the President is one that is pregnant with a lot of possibilities for the country.
The meeting of the trio has hence brought these possibilities to the fore.
